Smaragd

Smaragd

The Smaragd’s spacious bridge is equipped with the modern communications and navigation systems, such as ECDIS and satellite communication. The ship has a single 63 metre hold, making it highly suited for long project cargo, such as windmills, large constructions for offshore industries, cranes, etc. Its low air-draft makes it a regular Rhine trader. The service speed is 10.5 knots. The special shape of the hull results in low fuel consumption rates.

The ship’s hold is “box shaped” and equipped with movable grain bulkheads used to achieve an optimum configuration and transport combined dry cargo. The accommodations are comfortable and spacious, and come equipped with a satellite dish meaning all radio and TV stations are available across nearly the whole of Europe. An onboard internet connection is included.
